We bought this to replace a portable AC in our master bedroom. My husband works nights, and we live in the Southern California desert. Our room has south and west exposures, and no shade. It gets HOT in that room during the day. This unit works so much better than our portable AC did, and doesn't seem to work nearly as hard to do it. My only complaint is that a LOT of light leaks through- not on the sides or the top, but through the unit itself, where the cold air comes out, because that duct appears to be made of white styrofoam instead of a light-blocking material. If you work third shift and like a cold dark room, this AC may not be the one for you.

I love the new air conditioner, only thing that us giving me a problem is the reset of the filter to remove the light. I will get it right one of these days. I understand the instructions that it is on the plug, I have washed filter three times and cannot get light off.

Got the unit for a studio loft and installed it on the bottom of the window, doesn't circulate that well to the top as I'd like, but I suppose that's my fault for having it installed at the bottom of the window rather than the top. Manages to keep the room cool enough and I'm satisfied with it.

I™€™ve been using an old old window unit for some time because I couldn™€™t find one that I liked to replace it. I finally decided on the Frigidaire and so glad I did. Bought this unit a few weeks ago to replace a malfunctioning unit, It does its job well, keeping most of our first floor cool during some very hot and humid days, I wish this model had WIFI connect ability, but I am glad that I was able to purchase it at all, near the end of the season. The remote monitoring capability is a nice option.

I really enjoy that this model has so many options for controlling the thermostat and has a Sleep function to reduce use during the night. NYC is very humid, so it is also great that sometimes I can take it off Eco and boost the fan to high, which really takes care of that. I also love that the remote control has a thermometer. When my old AC gave out, I had no idea until the new unit arrived that I was living in 85 degree indoor temps for two weeks!
