My first Electrolux dual cooktop lasted only 10 years, using it for only 6 months each year. It died and my repairman replaced a board which lasted about 2 weeks. We purchased a new cooktop with another Electrolux cooktop which fit the original cutout. It arrived in a badly damaged box. The day after it was installed I tried to use it, but after heating 3 burners, it blew out. Electrolux sent a replacement. When the installation team opened it to install it, the top was broken. Another replacement is to arrive and be installed next month. After 2 months without a cooktop, I'm hoping for a successful outcome.

Good news. We bought this unit because of the excellent range of burner sizes including 6", 6 1/2", 8 3/4", 9 1/2" and 11". One of only a couple cooktops that we could find with an 11 inch burner. Great.Also good is that many of the heat ranges have a half setting giving you better control of the heat.So much for the good. I'll start slowly. Wish it didn't have the ugly stainless steel rim that collects dirt and makes cleaning more difficult.Now for the aggravation. I like a clean cooktop. However, when cleaning with the top locked (or not), an even slightly damp cloth will cause an error alert that sometimes is difficult to abort. NOTE: I use a damp cloth before using the glass cooktop cleaner.Not only does this happen while cleaning with lock on, but it has happened several times when a bit of water splashes on the top while cooking causing the unit to stop and go into error mode and interrupt the cooking process.We complained to the company. They sent a tech to replace a circuit board. Did the same thing. Electrolux replaced the unit. Same problem. Very irritating. Would I reccomend this? Absolutely not.I will say that Electrolux worked with me to attempt to solve this issue. But it still go to error mode most of the time I clean it.

Purchased cooktop a month ago and since the first time I used it turned off after 15 minutes... I constantly get different error codes and it beeps . The beeping sometimes will not turn off if you hit the power button. Some times I have to go outside to flip the breaker. ( which is not cool) several. Every week I have an appointment for them to fix but the appointment gets canceled for lack of parts. Got nice videos of errors. Other than it looking pretty I would not buy again,

Purchased this from Home Depot, delivered, installed and it doesn't work. As soon as the installation guys left, tried to use it and it started flashing E-11 and E-17. Had to turn off the power each time to re-set the cooktop. Called Electrolux repairs, he came out and said he needed to talk to engineers to assess the problem. A few days later, he called back and said the glass top would need to be replaced (a $600 repair on a $900 unit). Still waiting on Home Depot to see if we can just get a new unit. Very frustrating!!!

It heats up fast. This is the first cook top and I have been through 6, that heats water up so quickly. Make sure you read the instructions. Traditional cleaners CANNOT by used on this. When you clean it it can give you an error message. Press the timer and then power and it clears it. Once in a while clean it with the cleaner that is provided. Works meet well and cooks food in record time.

I bought this back in March. Since then I have had a Service Tech out 5 times. They have replaced the flex to fit burner along with the entire cooktop surface (because the control panel is attached). They have also sent me a brand new cooktop because the repairs did not fix the problem. Now the new cooktop has the same issues so a Servie Tech was sent back out. Enough is enough. I just want my money back so I can buy a cooktop that actually works.

I don't know what else you could ask for! This is nice, easy to clean, and he all the features we wanted. Love that there is a lock button so it doesn't accidentally get turned on. It took a little getting used to - you have to power in the cooktop, then power on the burner, then select your heat. It is second nature now and we are enjoying it.

Installed almost two months ago. Still have a bit of a learning curve on how to use it. So far, I love it. Easy to clean and looks good in my kitchen. Like the burner that has the three size burner, so handy and works well. The built in timer on it is a great feature, tho when wiping the stove top with a damp cloth turns it on. After using the cleaner on spots, using a microfiber cloth works better and doesn't turn the timer on...takes off all the smears and looks brand new again..

After 20 years in the house we built, it was time to replace the old knob style cooktop. Looking at all the major brands, we chose Electrolux. The style, features, burner size and placement had all the others beat. We love the sleek style and front located touch controls. There are 15 heat settings for each burner. The built in safety settings are great to have. Power does not go on unless it is pressed for 2 seconds, eliminating an accident by a child's glancing touch. And after a burner is turned off, the whole unit will turn off automatically after 10 seconds if the off was not selected. The burner size and placement maximize the available 30" cooktop space. Love it, thanks Electrolux!

We've had the cooktop for about a month. The cooktop constantly falls into and E-11 error code, and we have to trip the breaker to get it to stop. Then when we trip the breaker, it turns off our Electrolux double ovens, so we have to reset the clocks, on the ovens. My husband will have to put the ovens on a separate 220 breaker because we are in E-11 H3LL. We already have a repair service coming to our home on April 15. When it's not in E-11 H3LL, we love the cooktop! I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed. Also, we found out that the rebate for the free dishwasher does not apply if you buy your appliances at Sears. That was a $1000 error on my part. UGH!! I would not have purchased them there had I known this.

Like I said we bought the Cooktop in 2010 , along with Electrolux doubleovens inductions ovens which we truely love, but about a year and 1/2 ago we started having a problem with the cooktop and it is getting much worse. We can start cooking and then all of a sudden the whole cooktop gets flashing E's across all the burners, it used to be only if something splashed on the stove or you got something on it as your were sturing and would only last a few seconds, but now wil last 30 - 45 minutes. We have an exteneded wattenty but it is pro-rated so now if they can't fix it it would cost us any where from 35 - 45 5 to replace it. and I hardly think that is fair.. This a faulty product. An expensive Faulty poduct.

The timer placement is an annoyance as it is located between two often used burners. Many times it is turned on accidentally during normal cooking procedures. To turn it off it sometimes requires two fingers pressed simultaneously on both numbers. Move it!!
